Diva Challenge 257, EMI "Towel" and One More Heart

This week's Diva Challenge was given by guest blogger Amy Broady.  The challenge was to add some shine to our tangles.  I've added a little gold and silver gel pen ... it may be a little too subtle.

Every Monday Inchie's word of the week is towel.  

Finally, I decided to do yet another heart.

EIM Earth and DC 256 DuoTangle

This week's Every Monday Inchie was earth.  The cloud cover was a little harder to execute than I'd thought it would be, but I like the way it looks ... especially when you don't look too close.  :)

This week's Diva Challenge was to create a piece using two tangles:  Boo*Kee and Artoo (named for the Diva's two boys, speaking of whom are both under the weather ... Chewie, recovering from a tonsillectomy and Artoo who is sick).

Both tangles seem new to me, and Artoo looks a lot like Chinese lanterns, so I decided to go ahead and add a little color.

Diva Challenge 254 part 2

Valentines Day and hearts have always been favorites of mine.  So when Laura challenged us to use this as a theme for this week's challenge, I was delighted.  I've already posted one heart for this challenge, but I felt like doing another.  The above is an attempt at the gem look.  Below are some hearts I did a few years ago.  Have a Happy Valentines Day!!

2.7.16 Tangle and A Heart for Megan (DC 254)

I finished these tangles early this morning.  The first I started several weeks ago, adding to it as I had time and inclination.  When the ZIA was nearing completion, I realized I'd like to feature the flux portion in a heart and thought Knightsbridge would make a good background.  The second piece (obviously inspired by the first) is the result.  

I'm naming this tile "A Heart for Megan" in honor of my daughter who will turn 25 on Valentine's Day.  Happy Birthday dear girl.  (I'm going to slip this in as Diva Challenge 254 which is to be a valentangle!  Perfect timing.)

Diva Challenge #253: Molygon

The challenge this week was to use Maria's new tangle, Molygon.  I rather wish I'd known about this tangle a few weeks ago when Laura challenged us to return to basics with Zentangle.  It was easy to just flow with this pattern.  I rather think this will become a favorite!
