Diva Challenge #252

The challenge this week was to use a tangle pattern as the string.  I chose bales which when filled with tangles looks very much like a quilt my mother started when I was a child.  I believe the quilt pattern was "cathedral windows."

Here's my sofa.  I'm loving watercolor pencils.  A few strokes of color ... a little brush of water and voilla!  A mini painting is completed.  :)

Diva Challenge 251

It was a year ago that I completed my first Diva Challenge for Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day.  I never posted it because it didn't get completed for several weeks after the challenge, but it marked a beginning for completing challenges and for knowing about Moebius Syndrome.  Artoo ... we salute you!  Because of you (and your Mom) we know about Moebius Syndrome.  And it's always good to learn something new.  So above is this year's Moebius logo.  Below is my first effort.  It wasn't the actual logo, but an effort at a moebius strip.  I'm struggling to post a good photo, but you get the idea.

Diva Challenge #250

The Diva challenged us to return to the simplicity of the Zentangle method ... and to enjoy the moment of creating art.  Well, I'd been having similar feelings ... that I was trying too hard to know the end before I'd started ... and that wasn't as much fun or as relaxing as it used to be.  So here's my not-so-planned tile.  And I did enjoy the process, though the end product not so much.

EIM: Galaxy

Galaxy is the word this week.  How can one capture a galaxy?  They are immense and amazingly beautiful ... and the numbers and vastness beyond understanding.  I find meaning and understanding (as much as I am capable of) in this: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1

Every Inchie Monday: Next

NEXT is the word for the week.  This is supposed to be a calendar, but I think it may look more like an office building.  Hahaha.  Perhaps if it were the latter, a wrecking ball should also be in the picture.  No matter.  I'm looking forward to another year of inchies and connecting with the various "challenge" friends.  Happy New Year!
