The Diva Challenge was to use the tangle Skye. NOT EASY. (Emphasizing, not yelling.) Still, I love it, and hope to use it again. Added the tangle Mac.ra.me to increase the tangled feeling.
This week's Inchie challenge was "robot." This word brings to mind many images and other related thoughts. Particularly unpleasant are the robots (computers) that begin acting on their own behalf. They can get downright scary! One exception might be Rosie the Robot from The Jetsons. (Remember her?) She did tend to do things her own way, but usually with good intentions. I'm afraid this rendition looks a little scary, however. :)
Lovely Skye. Cheesecloth makes a great background too. I always find Mak-rah-mee a little tricky.
ReplyDeleteThese two tangles are great together!!!!!
ReplyDeletegreat combination of Skye and Mak ra mee. And I love your little robot!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet some of us might have actually yelled a tiny bit while trying to follow the steps for this tangle! I think yours is just wonderful and you chose a great complimentary tangle to go with it. Oh, I do remember Hazel. Love your inchie!
ReplyDeleteI like these two patterns together. I like how you used color too.
ReplyDeletesomeone else who remembers Rosie - I loved the Jetsons as a kid - push a button and everything gets done - housework, everything - although why they needed a maid was always funny 'cuz pushing all those buttons was too much work for Jane!
ReplyDeleteI like your combination of Tangles and how you used colour. I also remember the Jetsons. Your drawing of Hazel is spot on.
ReplyDeletelove the tangle it looks so complicated and I adore Rosie, she is so cute
ReplyDeleteNice with the mak-ra-mee background. Like the Robot too!
ReplyDeleteI think it's great how you've managed to combine Skye and Mak-Rah-mee!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I'm not the only one who struggled to tame Skye. I think you picked a great presentation for it. Nice.
ReplyDeleteTerrific tangle art piece and a wonderful robot inchie
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie xx
