This week the Diva Challenge is to add some green or a "touch of Irish" to our tiles. My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in Ireland three summers ago. By the time we made the trip it was closer to our 31th anniversary, but I digress.
The wonderful thing about Ireland is that it is simply beautiful - always, in every direction. And it is no wonder that we associate the color green with this island country, because it is so very green.
There was even evidence of early tangling at Newgrange (a stone age "passage tomb"). Well, not really - but pattern-making has always been around for a long time.
So, here's my "Touch of Green" tile. A little green - a little whimsey.
And here's a little island for this week's inchie!
Have a great week and Happy St. Patrick's Day!
very pretty little island - love the greens and browns which make it look realistic
ReplyDeleteThat hazy green photo is just so typical of what i remember of my visit to the Emerald Isle and I remember the carved stone everywhere too. Your whimsical tile is just the job for this week's Challenge.
