Diva Challenge #228

This week's guest blogger, Cari Sultanik, challenged us to use tangles that were organic or natural.  I decided to use Flux, Zinger, Dandi, and Podz.  I had a piece of paper in front of me that was green and textured.  Decided to use it.   When it was finished, I knew it needed some kind of shading ... decided to use watercolor pencils and a Tombo marker to blend.  It's not great art, but I like the possibilities of using the watercolor pencils for shading.

Every Inchie Monday: Yellow

This week's challenge is the word "yellow."  I loooove sunflowers!

Diva Challenge #227

This week's guest blogger was Lee Darter who challenged us to tangle to the theme of Circus Life using tangles Cack, Tropicana, and either Florz, Linq or Fescu.  I wanted to use all of the options (but didn't).

The first thing "circus" brings to mind is bright colors and amazing feats ... and cotton candy!!  I love the choice of tangles for illustrating the theme ... they are very lively and exciting.

Every Inchie Monday: Energy

This week's challenge was the word "energy."  The first thing that came to me was a lightning bolt ... the zigzag kind, painted yellow.  Then I thought, well, how about stormy clouds and ... here's the result!

Diva Challenge #226

"Simplicity" was the challenge by guest blogger Katie Crommett this week.  She asked us to use only two or three patterns and to stop when we had tangled "enough."

This was a particularly busy week, so I thought I'd simplify my life and check my stash of previously tangled tiles and voilla!  I think this one meets the challenge.

Every Monday Inchie: Nose

This week's inchie challenge is the word "nose."  I used the tangle Via to define the face space.  :o)

Diva Challenge #225

The Diva is taking the summer off.  We wish her and her family days full of happy memories.  Guest challenger Jen Crutchfield has asked us to use 2 or 3 colors in our tile.  My patterns include Athitzi and one that I can't remember the name of.  Have a good week!
